Meet Gather Clipboard.
A little more memory for your Mac.
Your copies, ready to use again
Gather Clipboard is a new, optional clipboard history. It starts off. Turn it on in the new Clipboard section above Collections, then Gather keeps supported text, formatted text, links, images, and file references as you copy them.
A shortcut back to what you copied
Press ⇧⌘V to open the new glass flyout. Search, filter by type, or browse your pinned clips. Choose a clip to copy it, then paste into your app with ⌘V. Choose a different shortcut in Settings → Gather Clipboard.
A home for your clipboard history
Open Clipboard in the main window for larger previews, pins, plain-text copying, and Save to Collection. History stays separate from your saved library until you choose to keep a clip in a collection.
Local history, with controls that matter
Pause recording whenever you need, exclude apps, and choose how long unpinned clips stay. The defaults are seven days and up to 500 unpinned clips. Pinned clips stay until you remove them, within storage limits. Gather skips recognized sensitive-content markers and common password managers.
Glass that belongs throughout Gather
The Capture flyout and main window now share Clipboard’s theme-tinted glass, with matching search fields, controls, and icon badges. Navigation and preview actions feel consistent, while notes and documents keep solid reading surfaces. Reduce Transparency and Increased Contrast have dedicated fallbacks.
Small fixes for everyday work
Markdown files dropped from Finder keep their filenames and open as editable notes. Quick Capture shortcuts keep the same bubble, clipboard previews, and Attach/Paste controls; repeated shortcuts preserve the current draft and destination.
